Medicare Parts A & B Insurance

What is Medicare Part D?

Original Medicare includes parts A & B, these are the only parts that will be on your Medicare red/white/blue card which is issued through the Social Security Office. If you are drawing Social Security at least four-five months before turning age 65, you should automatically receive the Medicare card in the mail. If you are not drawing Social Security when turning 65, you will need to self-enroll for Medicare parts A&B https://www.ssa.gov/medicare.

If you or a spouse are still actively working when turning 65 and have an employer insurance option with at least 20 employees at the workplace, you will be able to choose to stay on the employer insurance or go onto Medicare, even if you keep working. There is much to consider in this situation, please contact us for a personalized conversation.
